Wednesday, September 18 - PM Advanced/Fluency

Today we read my essay on the philosophical problem of personal identity. We took our time with the essay, analyzing unfamiliar words and ensuring full comprehension of each paragraph before moving on. This topic is, after all, a difficult one. I was proud of my students. They were engaged in the material and truly wrestled with the issue. Along the way, we had discussions on a wide variety of topics: faulty memories; meditation; obsessive-compulsive disorder; and The Truman Show.
