  • As of spring 2023, all of our programs for F1 students are in-person.

We offer online classes for non-F1 students.

SEVIS guidelines do not allow F1 students who began their studies in the US after March 2020 to attend a fully online intensive English program.

Students apply for Change of Status while in the United States. Change of Status allows students to legally study in the United States, but it is NOT a visa and does NOT allow students to re-enter the country if they leave at any time in the application process or during their time of study.

  • The I20 is a document issued by an SEVP-certified school like Institute ACE. It is a required part of the student’s application for an F1 visa or Change of Status.

The F1 visa is issued by the United States Department of State.

  • If your F1 visa application is denied, you can apply again. https://travel.state.gov/content/travel/en/us-visas/study/student-visa.html

Change of Status decisions are made by the United States Citizenship and Immigration Services: “With rare exception, there is no appeal from the denial of adjustment of status.” https://www.uscis.gov/policy-manual/volume-7-part-a-chapter-11
