I’ve been thinking about paradoxes, so I decided to challenge them with Zeno’s paradox. Afterwards, their minds were blown; I don’t think their lives will ever be the same again.
We began a unit on curiosity. Opening discussion questions: What are some things in your life that you are curious about? What would you like to know more about? Some answers: life after death; the ocean; the minds of evil people; the workings of the brain.
We then reviewed the note-taking tips that I shared with students last class.
We then began reading an article about curiosity. We read it once aloud, working on vocabulary, pronunciation, and comprehension. We read it once more, this time taking notes. We will share our notes with each other at the beginning of our next class.
