We finished chapter 6. We then did some quick research and shared two interesting facts about the Navajo tribe. Our next task was to practice our SLO: Share your opinion about abandoning offensive mascots. The Washington Redskins became the Commanders; the Cleveland Indians became the Guardians. Do you think it was right to change these names?

We next did some more SLO practice, addressing the following questions: What makes racial, ethnic, and religious diversity good? What makes it challenging?

We then began reading chapter 7 on p. 17.
