Monday, March 4 - AM Advanced (11:30-1:45)

For our opening conversation, we shared what we did over the weekend: informal, natural conversation.

We then reviewed vocab words used in an article on immigration. After reviewing the words, we read aloud the article itself, which revealed some results from a major survey of immigrants in 2023. 

After reading the article, students had a chance to respond, identifying with some of the experiences of immigrants nationwide, but also sharing unexpected experiences. For example, in my group, many students explained that they were more often mistreated by other immigrants than by US citizens.
