We started the class with having students share with a partner what they did this weekend.

Students will have a test on chapter 9 this week.  We discussed the difference between simple present and present continuous.  Students reread the story of the DiCarlo’s on page 83 and then used it as a model to tell the story of Mrs. Kowalski on page 85.  First the students told the story and then they wrote the beginning, practicing simple present tense

Next, we reviewed pages 66 and 67 in the activity book.  After completing the exercises, students read to each other the correct answers.
