Wednesday, January 31 - AM Fluency

In preparation for our field trip to the Norton Art Museum next week, we discussed art.

 Do you go to art museums?  Do you consider yourself artistic?  Do you like art?  Students identified different styles of art, differentiating between visual and performing art.

We watched a video about Christo, a famous installation artist.  Students listened for main ideas and details.  They were very opinionated about whether his installations were even art.  The last thing we did was listen to people talk about his installation.  They had to identify if the statements  were positive or negative reactions and if they were asking or giving an explanation.
