“AI and the future of work”

Today we discussed how AI is changing work and how that change will continue in the future.

Students identified 10 jobs and wrote down tasks that are required in each job.  Students partnered and walked around discussing each task.  One student had to debate that a robot could do the task better and the other had to argue that a robot could. The winner drew a picture of a robot or human.  Next, we discussed which jobs/tasks are better suited to robots or AI and which are better for humans.  We ended by reviewing opinions on AI and education and agreeing or disagreeing with them.
