Linguahouse - “Is this yours?”

Subject pronouns, possessive adjectives, and possessive pronouns were written on the board and reviewed.

We listened to a dialogue where people spoke about different objects as they were cleaning up after class.  Students had to write down the objects during the first listen, and identify the owners during the second listen.  Next, they read sentences that allowed them to connect the owner to other objects.  They practiced writing sentences using possessive adjectives and possessive pronouns.  For example, “It is his notebook.  It’s his.”

Then the students answered questions with the words provided.  They had to put the words in the correct order.

Finally, we did dictation.  Students wrote down what I said and identified the pronoun mistake if there was one.
