WU Task: Construct the longest possible sentences. The students worked all together on three boards, each student adding one word at a time. After they reached the end of the three sentences, we corrected them all together.

Likes and dislikes. What do you like or dislike? Practicing the affirmative, negative and interrogative forms.

Affirmative: I like to draw. OR I like drawing.

Negative: I don’t like to take out the trash.

Interrogative: Do you like to cook? OR Do you like cooking?

Students reported to the class about the likes/dislikes of their partners using he/she likes and he/she does.

Then we went to the SxS2 TB (textbook) and started with the chapter 1 review of the tenses (present simple, present continuous, simple past, future), p. 2/3/4/5/6.

In addition, we reviewed briefly the past tense of regular verbs (adding -ed), as well as the pronunciation rules (-d/ -t/ -id).

We also reviewed the object pronouns me, him, her, us, you, them

Note: For the first six chapters we will barely use the WB (workbook). If students want more/extra practice, they can do the exercises in the WB at home on their own, and I’m ready to correct/answer any questions and will provide the answer key.
