  • Talk about what this phrase means

  • Play first part of video

  • What did you hear her say?

  • Think for a moment, is minimizing your accomplishments something you struggle with?

  • If so, do you think it has something to do with your culture or is it your personality? Or something else?

  • Share with a partner. Use our feelings vocabulary if needed.

  • Who struggles with this? What feelings do you feel when talking about your accomplishments? Shy, embarrassed, uncomfortable, awkward…


Recap the feelings we wanted to focus on from last week: overwhelmed, worried, frustrated, withdrawn, ashamed, startled
⁃ draw the diagram again
⁃ Pass out the feelings wheels
⁃ Add 3 more (each group choose one they all don’t know)

Character wheel activity (continue from last class)
⁃ Pass out their characters. Split into groups. Continue practicing talking about your feelings while pretending to be your character.

Scenarios:
- You are standing in line outside of a store on Black Friday waiting for it to open at midnight

⁃ You are all in the same jail cell. Why?
