Thursday, October 24 - PM Fluency
Prep: Print copies of the sequence words (you can find them attached below on the next pg), gather the dictionaries
Warm up:
Keep working on your timelines. Those who are finished, give feedback for others. Are there things you don’t understand? Are there any spoilers?
Then find someone else to give feedback to.
*Make sure they are only writing a timeline of their movie. What happens in your movie?
Explain that, in English, we love when things are concise and organized!
Then, when everyone is up to speed and has finished their timelines..
Give them the sequence words:
Have them look in the dictionaries (with a partner) to see which are more or less common
And look at definitions for the more common words
Add any other sequence words they can think of
(If more time) Use your timeline to write a paragraph
Don’t use a sequence word every sentence
