I reviewed book vocabulary: front cover, back cover, spine, glossary, paragraph, introduction
They did an activity that helped them recall the characters and events of chapter 1.
I read chapter 2 of the story in small sections and a different student repeated each section. We addressed understanding and new vocab as we went. We got through the second chapter.
The students then, with partners, discussed how they thought the victim was killed.
We did the post-reading questions for Ch. 2.
