Split the SS into pairs or 3s

Before reading “A Darkness In German Soccer” (p. 50) I had one S read the target vocabulary in the green box. I had them complete the sentences before reading the story to each other.

I did the same for the second reading “Safety For College Students” on pages 50-51.

For the exercises “Words In Discussion” and “Words In Writing” I modeled the examples with a student.

They did really well.
