Tuesday, January 23 - PM Advanced/Fluency

I had the SS look at the balcony scene again (page 6) to remind themselves of the Romeo & Juliet story.

We reviewed the phrases “turning point”, “low point”, and I added “high point”.

We got into the listening section by having the SS discuss the verbal signposts listed in the box on page 8, and which of them they already knew. It was quite a lively discussion.

We listened to audio 1.4 and then the SS completed the sentences. Someone asked “what is an extract?” so we discussed that for a couple of minutes. 

We finished with the SS vocabulary questions.
