In the Listening Skills exercise remind the SS that we should be listening for verbal signposts (pointers, clues) and give a couple of examples. We are also listening for repetition and examples.

Then complete the listening exercise (1.4) and fill in the blanks.

In exercise F we’ll listen for signals (1.5) and complete the table.

Have the SS think of a couple of “blockbuster” movies, and have them analyze the narrative. SS might have to change partners to do this.
