Finish incomplete paragraph paper from earlier. We’re on paragraph #3 where students are to read the paragraph and create a topic sentence for the paragraph. Write some of the answers on the board. Decide which ones are appropriate and what can be done to make the others appropriate.
Return papers. Congratulate Elizanangela on her “perfect” paper and point out that it’s a second draft - not a first draft. First drafts are expected to have errors in them.

2 worksheets on figuring out an appropriate topic sentence for the paragraphs. Write the answers on the board and discuss whether they are appropriate or how they could be changed in order to be appropriate.
Revise one of the previously written and marked paragraphs.
