Thursday, January 11 - PM Intermediate
Students introduced themselves to the classroom sharing what is their favorite thing to do when they are not at ACE Institute.
Students shared activities such as movies, swimming, church, family, going to restaurants and cooking.
Text Read- The Big TV’s
Pre-Reading-Students paired with one another to create a sequential order of events relating to the story The Big Tv’s. Students had the opportunity to discuss with their partner what they believed occurred in the story.
Pairs shared out to the class what they believed occured in the story.
Students gave the characters names such as: Bob, John, and Mr. Fredderick
Read Aloud the text to students. Second reading students had the opportunity to reorder the events of the story that they previously discussed and shared out with their partner and class.
Discussed the difference between the spelling of words which can help identify if its singular or plural. Some examples below:
