What is a descriptive essay?  A descriptive essay describes something.  I could be an object, person, place, experience, emotion, situation, etc.  

Descriptive essays use imagery or sensory details (taste, touch, sight, sound, smell).

Students discussed one of their favorite meals and then then wrote a paragraph about it.
