Recap chapter 1-3 for the students who were not here in term 4.  Complete the exercise on page 46 discussing what we know about the mystery man.  Read chapter 4.  Review characters, setting, plot, and conflict.  First, Monica reads and then the students read in small groups.  Write and discuss past tense regular and irregular verbs.  Have student groups write a summary of chapter 4 in past tense on the board.  Make corrections as needed.
