Wednesday, March 5 - AM Fluency

Liz, a student teacher, taught the class today.  She began by asking the students to explain with hygiene is, and then she read several statements about hygiene practices around the world and had the students vote on whether they were true or false.


Next, she had the students reflect how cleanliness has changed over time, page 41.  Students shared in groups and then with the whole class.  On pages 42-43, students previewed the timeline and then listened to “3,500 Years of Hygiene” to fill in the important dates.  We reviewed the answers, discussed some additional questions on how the future will view our hygiene habits, and ended with a scenario where HR had to tell someone they smelled bad.  How would you handle this?  Students discussed in groups and shared.
