“Having a Bad Day”

We discussed bad days.  Is today good or bad?  When was the last time you had a bad day?  What can make your day bad?

We reviewed the following collocations:

Have an argument / an accident

Get stuck in a traffic jam

Miss a flight/ bus/ train

Late for work

Get sick

lose/ break/ forget something

We listened to someone talk about their bad day and filled in blank sentences.  Then we put the story in order and identified sequence words and where to use them: beginning, middle, or end.
