WU:  What are you learning in Lauren’s class?  What are you learning in Emily’s class?

Review parts of speech - focus on nouns and verbs.  Singular nouns need singular verbs.  Plural nouns need plural verbs.  Practice orally with the whole class.

Students write 8 sentences with the goal of showing subject verb agreement.  2 sentences with singular subject in present continuous, 2 sentences with plural subject in the present continuous, 2 sentences with singular subject in the simple present, and 2 sentences with plural subjects in the simple present.  Use as a diagnostic.
