  Discussed our connection to places based on location, social life, work life, and associations.

Students listened to an interview between a geographer and social scientist about what a “sense of place” is and means.  They practiced taking notes on the main idea and details.  

Unit task - students will interview each other about a place they belong.  They started writing questions for their interview.  They must ask about the following:  place, connection to place, connection to past, special qualities, feelings of pride, quality of life, and the main reason the place is important.

Students will have additional time on Monday May 20.
