We reread chapter 1 and completed the corresponding exercise in the back of the book. Students had to choose the correct question word and then answer the question.
As we were reading chapter 2, students were told to think about three things as we read.
What is known?
What is speculation?
What is unknown?
After reading we put the information in one of the three categories.
We began reading chapter 3 but did not finish. We created an outline for the first 11 years of Niccolo and Maffeo’s journey to China.
