WU: Name something you think most people your age are concerned about (Words in Discussion Q 2, p. 121)

Students listened to Words in Context and identified which words they heard twice. Then they wrote the words on the board. We discussed their meaning, then erased them. After this, the students played sparkle with the new words.

Students completed Words in Context and Words and Definitions on p. 114/115.

We reviewed the parts of speech, then the students completed Word Families A and B, on p. 117

Finally the students did the speaking exercise Words in Discussion with rotating partners, then chose one prompt from Words in Writing (5 sentences).
