Continue ch. 8
Write numbers on board leaving space for multiple meanings, if necessary.
Play “sparkle” with the vocab. (Reassure the new students that we will go over meanings again.) Say “It’s complete!”
They spell the words on the board.
Have the students tell the new students what the words mean.
Have them write two sentences using two of the vocab words on boards or on pieces of paper. Put them in small groups and have them correct their group’s sentences first. Then I correct.
Have them read their sentences to the group. Check for understanding.
Do either 65 or 66 depending on what Emily did with them yesterday.
Have them get up, find a partner, and discuss qu.s on pg 69 - what qu.s did Emily do?
Maybe do the ones from the writing section.
